| Erik likes sailing for sailings-sake.
I like sailing best for the stuff that goes with it. Travelling
in the “old fashioned” way (admittedly with sat
nav & a shower!) gives you a perspective on the world
you wouldn’t otherwise have: from meeting dolphins en
route, to understanding why historic cities are where they
are, to exploring where even the road less-travelled doesn’t
go.
And as for trying to steer in gusts of 59kts in the middle
of the night, in the middle of the Atlantic. Well, it all
adds to the sense of adventure…..
